Upload & content guidelines
Upload everyday objects and designs you own or have permission to use. We screen supported images and model previews for prohibited content before enabling further processing in the upload viewer.
What your result means
- Allowed: the submitted images did not trigger this automated policy check. This does not establish legality, ownership, licensing or print safety.
- Blocked: the review detected content prohibited by these guidelines. Processing and export from the upload viewer stay disabled.
- Needs review: the object is ambiguous, rights may need verification, or the file cannot be fully assessed. It has not been approved.
- Review unavailable: review is not configured or could not finish. Try again later. A service error never counts as a pass.
Content we do not accept
- Firearms and weapon production: firearms, ghost-gun components, receivers, frames, conversion parts, suppressors and tooling intended to manufacture or modify weapons. Unclear parts are held for review.
- Explicit sexual content: pornography, sexually explicit imagery and sex toys. Sexual exploitation and any sexual content involving children are prohibited.
- Dangerous or abusive content: items intended to injure people, graphic violence, or content promoting self-harm or abuse.
- Unauthorized copies: counterfeit products and content that infringes another person's rights. A recognizable brand, logo or character may require permission; recognition alone is not a finding of infringement.
Your designs and intellectual property
Use your own work, public-domain material, or a license that permits your intended use, including manufacturing or resale when relevant. Keep the source, license and any permission from the rights holder. A general AI model cannot search every patent, copyright, trademark or registered design, or verify a license from its appearance.
A clean image review is not IP clearance. 3D model previews can hide internal geometry or details, so uploaded model files require a separate geometry and rights review before this viewer enables export. An automatic rights database search and a staffed review queue are not connected yet.
If your upload is held
- Read the reason in the upload panel and compare it with these guidelines.
- If review could not finish, use Retry content check after the service is available.
- If the image is unclear, provide a clear, complete view. Do not crop, disguise or rename a prohibited item to evade screening.
- If you think the result is mistaken, contact jcjurevis@gmail.com with the reason shown and a description of your intended use. Include license information if relevant. This does not automatically approve the upload or create a review ticket.
What is sent for review
When enabled, supported uploaded images and a small set of rendered model views are sent through our server to OpenAI for automated review. The review service does not store image copies or raw model responses on disk. Its decisions are temporary. File previews remain in your browser; local SAM3D stores its own working files when you use photo-to-3D. See the Privacy Policy for provider processing and retention.
Limits of this first version
Supported review inputs are still PNG, JPEG and WebP images within the upload review limits. Animated images and other formats can be previewed but remain held. AI may miss prohibited content or flag a harmless object. Review of a photo and selected object does not certify the geometry reconstructed by SAM3D. Local previews and download controls do not replace server checks for future marketplace listing, ordering or manufacturing services.
